The DSSRV2 Server boasts total throughput of up to 350 Mbps for recording analog and IP video streams as well as playback and export through the DS ControlPoint client, allowing more users to play back video from the server simultaneously. With increased read-write speeds and no moving parts, the SSD system drive increases the reliability, uptime, and responsiveness of the system.
With full-featured DS NVS video management software, the convenience and assurance of a robust network video recorder (DSSRV-2), analog camera support via optional direct-attached or network video encoders, and support for hundreds of IP cameras, Digital Sentry (DS) offers the flexibility and convenience of a video management system optimized to drive HD, IP, and hybrid recording from one high-performance platform.
The viewing flexibility of DS makes it the ideal solution for multi-site monitoring applications such as education, healthcare, and corporate security environments, which require alarm monitoring and rapid access to recorded video from multiple servers.
At the core of Digital Sentry is DS NVS video management software, which offers flexibility in system design. Whether your application demands optimized integrated hardware, like the Digital Sentry DSSRV2 Server, or requires industry-standard server platforms, DS NVS gives you the power to view live and recorded video, control cameras, export video, and much more. Because Digital Sentry is based on an open architecture, DS NVS allows customers the freedom to choose the PC/server platform and IP cameras that best fit their application. This ONVIF-conformant software is available for free download and comes with four free IP licenses for Pelco or third-party IP cameras or encoders.
The Digital Sentry ControlPoint Workstation (DS-CPPC) is optimized to deliver the essential hardware support for the DS ControlPoint software without the extra cost or risk of integrating hardware and software. With 8 GB of RAM, DS-CPPC provides an optimal combination of processing power and reliability to meet the demands of HD video recording and playback operations. Front panel LED displays on the DS-CPPC are integrated with the new Digital Sentry System Information (DSSI) utility, providing critical, real-time statistics on system resource utilization, temperature, and throughput status.
The ENC5516 adds analog flexibility to the DSSRV2 Digital Sentry Server, extending your investment in analog cameras and cabling while adding the value of H.264 compression for efficient storage utilization. Each ENC5516, directly attached to the DSSRV2 supports up to 16 analog cameras and the ability to record video at up to D1 resolution and 30/25 (NTSC/PAL) IPS. Up to four ENC5516s may be attached to one DSSRV2 for a total of 64 camera connections.
