Pelco Camera Tool

The Pelco camera tool is designed to help integrators, dealers, and customers easily select and place cameras at an installation site. It provides specifications for Pelco cameras, lenses, and video analytics products. The tool allows you to adjust the parameters on the camera to determine optimal camera coverage over a certain area. Use this tool to complete the following tasks:

Identify the field of view for each camera by comparing the camera location with its camera and lens specifications.
Determine if video analytic behaviors will function in the camera location at the site.
Determine how far cameras and analytics behaviors can view object types within a scene.

The camera tool helps you to determine the optimal camera parameters for video analytic applications. Based on your selections, the tool determines the camera coverage range and horizontal and vertical angle. With this tool, you can also draw the camera monitoring area for your actual site on a map from Google™ Maps. Camera placement maps can also be exported from the tool and then imported into Google Earth. When importing a map into Google Earth, follow the instructions provided with the product to import an image overlay.
