A 180-degree camera is a security camera designed to capture a wide panoramic field of view that spans roughly half a circle in a single frame. These cameras let you monitor large areas without the need for multiple cameras. They use sensors or specialized lenses to stitch video into one seamless panoramic image.

A 180-degree camera works by using multi-sensor stitching, where several individual image sensors capture overlapping views that are stitched together by software into one wide panorama. Some models use lenses that are fisheye and can capture a broad field of view directly, then use dewarping to flatten the image for easier viewing.
