Spectra Esprit Remote Monitor Software
Imagine complete control and programming capabilities—including the ability to
view video—for Spectra or Esprit Series Integrated Positioning Systems. Imagine
being able to upload the latest revision of Spectra operating software—in the
field, without having to remove the dome from it’s installed location.
For the first time, installer/technicians can control, program, or upgrade
system operating software and language files for Spectra dome systems either at
the dome during installation, via the dome’s built-in interface, or from the
ground using the all new IPS-RDPE-2 Remote Data Port. For Esprit systems,
control and programming capabilities are available when using an IPS-RDPE-2
Remote Data Port. See

Pelco makes this possible through free, downloadable software available for
Palm™ OS Series compatible handheld, iPaq™ Pocket PC, and Windows® PC platforms
designed for use with the IPS-CABLE Remote Monitor Cable (monitor not included)
or the Spectra Remote Monitor Kit, a complete standalone system that includes a
camera, a Palm™ OS Series compatible handheld and all cables.

service tool that combines a 5.6-inch TFT-LCD Monitor, Palm™ OS Series
compatible handheld, handy carrying case, all necessary cables and operating
software to completely control, setup and upgrade Spectra Integrated Dome
Systems or control/program Esprit Series positioning systems when used in
conjunction with the IP-RDPE-2 Remote Data Port.

• Remote Monitor Cable
To be able to perform upgrades for Spectra dome systems or control/program
Spectra or Esprit Series Systems you will need to purchase the Spectra Remote
Monitor Cable, Pelco part number, IPS-CABLE (Length: 2', which includes all
software files listed below on CD). Using PDA Handhelds will additionally
require the user to purchase the appropriate serial cable from the manufacturer
of your Handheld. PC users will also need a NULL serial cable. Some iPaq™
Pocket PC models require a NULL connection.
