Turkish Highway

Snaking its way through the Aegean region of Turkey, the Dzmir-Aydın-Cesme Highway is one of the most important routes in all of Turkey. Spannning more than 220 kilometers, it is the main thoroughfare for tourist and other traffic. In an effort to both maintain a steady flow of traffi  and ensure the safety of its passengers, the General Directorate of Highways decided to implement an intelligent highway automation system, to integrate a number of systems to provide detailed information on road conditions, traffic flow and usage patterns, and allow for the immediate dispatch of emergency responders when necessary.
