“There is no comparison, Endura is a quantum leap above anything that I have ever seen. It’s in a league of its own.”
– Kevin Jetton, President of A-Tec, integrator for Coeur d'Alene Casino
Mission
Coeur d'Alene Casino has gone through six expansions since it was built in the 1990s, creating 202 luxury hotel rooms and more than 100,000 square feet of gaming space and the Circling Raven Golf Club. With millions of dollars in assets, as well as a focus on liability and compliance, the casino’s old security recording system of VCRs and tapes wasn’t cutting it.
Solution
Not only did the casino want to update to a digital system, it also wanted a solution flexible enough to incorporate its mixture of cameras until it was able to replace them with a single, Pelco-brand solution. With Endura, the casino found a flexible solution that delivered the desired functionality while incorporating elements of its old security system. The solution includes System 9760 matrix switches, the VMX 300 video management system, KBD5000 keyboards, Pelco LCD monitors, 600 camera licenses and a mixture of different camera lines and lenses from the previous system that will eventually be transitioned to Pelco solutions.
Result
Apprehensive about switching from its previous security system because other area casinos had trouble combining their systems, Coeur d’Alene went through testing in the early stages to ensure a smooth transition. “Everybody has worked as a team, and I cannot believe how supportive Pelco has been throughout the process,” said Greg Sprague, the casino’s surveillance director.
