Pelco Global Training Institute System Compatibility

The Pelco Learning Center (PLC) is best viewed with a display resolution of 1024 x 768.
With a smaller resolution setting, viewing results will degrade. A resolution of 1280 x 1024
or 1600 x 1200 will give the best results.

Windows XP sp2 is the OS supported by the PLC. Vista is not supported at this time.
The PLC uses pop-ups. Your browser must allow them to appear or you will not be able to launch eLearning courses and other pop-up windows that are part of the normal operation of the system.

The PLC requires the latest version of Java runtime environment (JRE from Java.com) be installed - this is required to view exams. You may have problems launching some learning content if your Java is out of date. You can install the latest version of Java by visiting www.java.com. 

Adobe Flash player is required by some learning content. You can install the latest version of the Flash player by visiting www.adobe.com. 

Cookies are required for exams to launch correctly.

Most browsers allow you to control pop-ups one of three ways—“this click only”, “this visit only”, or “allow pop-ups from a trusted site”. Consult the browser help utility for specific instructions on pop-up settings.

Applications that may prevent pop-ups from working correctly include:

• All Browsers (Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera, etc.)
• Yahoo! Toolbar
• Google Toolbar

The PLC does not support the use of your browser’s "Back" button.

The PLC has a 15 minute idle time. This means your PLC session will automatically terminate after 15 minutes if there is no activity in the course or exam.

When an exam is launched, do not close the window from which you opened the test.
After logging into the PLC and launching a course, be sure to leave all PLC windows open so that the system will be able to record your results.
