ThruLink- Secure/Transparent Network Communication:

KBC's ThruLink appliance provides a seamless integration solution to enable Pelco's Endura platforms to securely transmit streaming video across public networks. Offering an encrypted tunneling function, video and data streams are isolated from other data traffic, ensuring integrity of the transmitted streams. The intuitive GUI allows fast and easy deployment of secure point-to-point connections without the additional time and cost incurred by traditional VPN setup and maintenance.

The KBC ThruLink Standard Capacity series provides secure communications to be established over any standard, public or private TCP/IP network. The ThruLink performs behind firewalls, NAT devices and through nearly any other type of network configuration. Although designed specifically to meet the requirements for video transmission over a packet switched network, ThruLink can be used for any type of network traffic.
The system can also perform the same task while providing encrypted communication for all TCP/IP protocols regardless of the type of traffic. When deployed, the ThruLink devices provide a secure and encrypted tunnel for network communications that will not affect TTL, UPnP, VLAN information, Broadcast, Multicast, or any other traffic.

In Singapore, ThruLink has allowed Land Transport Authority(LTA) to connect remote Endura encoders via public Internet connections to central monitoring locations, thereby avoiding the high costs previously incurred with lease lines. Similarly, in Colombia, ThruLink's encrypted tunnel provides a secure video and data tunnel for remote ATM kiosks, preventing data sniffing by third parties. In Las Vegas, ThruLink was used to connect two casinos together for remote viewing of an encoder.

ThruLink clients provide one or two LAN ports to easily integrate existing data and video networks across a common tunnel. Also, DNS and DHCP functionality will be implemented in the near future to provide even easier system deployment and management.
