                        Total Wellness Overview:

                        The goal of the Pelco by Schneider Electric Total Wellness program is to offer employees knowledge about fitness, nutrition, and stress reduction. We believe the decision to look after yourself is the ultimate in health care. With our busy lives it is sometimes difficult to fit wellness activities into our day, so what better way than to incorporate into the work day.

                        On October 13th, 2008 the California Task Force honored Pelco by Schneider Electric with the bronze award for the 2008 California Fit Business Award on Youth and Workplace Wellness. It was quite an honor for Pelco by Schneider Electric to receive this award.  Pelco was again honored on November 5th, 2009 with the silver award iand on November 4th, 2010 with another silver award in the Calinfornia Large Business category.

                        Total Wellness Programs:

                        • Pelco by Schneider Electric Bike2Work Club – Pelco by Schneider Electric has bike parking, lockers, and showers. Each year Pelco employees compete in the Bike to Work challenge.
                        • Personal Fitness Training – Pelco by Schneider Electric offers access to onsite fitness training for employees in the Pelco fitness room.
                        • Total Wellness On-Site Health Seminars. Pelco by Schneider Electric is always very proud to bring in some wonderful speakers as part of its ongoing lecture series. Webinar version for those who cannot make the in-person lectures are available. Employees in each satellite campus can watch the Total Wellness lecture from their computers!
                        • Pelco by Schneider Electric Biggest Loser Contest – Every quarter employees team up for reaching their health and fitness goals. Prizes awarded to those with the highest percentage body mass index loss. Pelco by Schneider Electric employees have lost an astonishing 4000 pounds.
                        • Quarterly Intramural Sports Tournaments – Pelco by Schneider Electric sponsors employee sports competitions annually, including basketball, softball, soccer, volleyball, bowling and kick ball.
                        • Total Wellness Bulletin Boards and Information Boards – Info centers on current wellness issues as well as calendars of coming events are posted in every building on our main campus
                        • Annual On-Site Flu Shots for employees
                         
                         
                         

                        California Fit Business Award

                        Through its continued commitment to employee well-being and health, Pelco by Schneider Electric has been recognized as a 2010 silver level winner of the California Fit Business Award.  The award is presented by the California Task Force on Youth and Workplace Wellness and takes in to consideration company food offerings, worksite conditions and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.

                        Quarterly Intramural Sports Tournaments

                        At Pelco by Schneider Electric it’s all about team work on or off the field. Pelco by Schneider Electric employees participate in quarterly intramural sports tournaments from softball to volleyball, soccer, kickball, bowling and basketball. Employees participate with other departments as a way of getting to know each other and socializing with co-workers that they normally wouldn’t run into on a regular basis.
                         

                        Annual On-Site Flu Shots for employees

                        Because employees can’t always make it to their doctor's office, Pelco by Schneider Electric Employee Services Department brings the doctors office to you! Pelco by Schneider Electric offers on the spot flu shots every fall to their family and employees. Last fall over 500 employees and family members took advantage of the on site flu shots.
