Existing DX8100s systems can be upgraded to DX8100 v2.0 software and the new hardware at no cost.
DX8100 software upgrades DO NOT include upgrades to the OS from Windows 2000 to Windows XP. Order DX81SWV20XPE for a Windows XPe license. DX8100 Version 2.0 software must be downloaded separately.

System Health Check Monitoring
DX8100 Version 2.0 System Health Check Monitoring tracks system and hard disk drive conditions for any "out of threshold" activity. Administrators can modify several of the low/high settings to meet their specific needs. Hard disk drives, for example, are typically the most vulnerable component of a security DVR due to round-the-clock operation and susceptibility to heat. If drives were to exceed 80 degrees Celsius or 176 degrees Fahrenheit with new System Health Check Monitoring, an error message is displayed at the server and remote clients. System administrators can also modify update intervals.
