Pelco Introduces First New Device in NET300 Series of Products
Clovis, CA (November 24, 2003) – Pelco is pleased to introduce
the PelcoNet NET350 Series of video transmission devices. Introduced as the
first in a series of IP (Internet Protocol) devices, it will make Pelco the
only company in the industry to offer a comprehensive solution that allows
customers to operate and integrate analog and IP devices within one system!
The NET350T (transmitter) with the NET350R (receiver) can be
used with existing cabling infrastructure to provide the ability to view and
control devices from across the street or around the world via network
infrastructure on a LAN, WAN or even the Internet. Having a receiver available
to convert the IP-based video back to an analog format is invaluable for
systemization of multiple sites. It allows integration of multiple analog
systems, such as multiplexers or matrices, to be connected into a cohesive
worldwide application using PelcoNET as a tie-line or interconnect mechanism.
Full control is achieved through a data channel that allows remote devices to
be controlled from Pelco keyboards or an Internet Explorer interface.
PelcoNet NET350 Advanced IP Video Transmission System offers a
tremendous amount of functionality and advanced features, including MPEG-4 –
which is the newest and most effective compression standard available in the
industry today – the ability to simultaneously send two IP-video streams at
different resolutions and update rates, Compact Flash based local video
Storage, advanced motion detection, and Audio.
Providing two separate streams is vital when multiple users want
to view Video. While a local user may have the bandwidth available to view
large video at full image rates, a remote user over a WAN would almost
certainly prefer a reduced resolution to maximize the viewing experience over
smaller bandwidth. In addition, the second stream allows recording of
high-resolution images even while viewing a lower resolution stream.
The local storage option can automatically record video locally
at any resolution or speed without relying on the network. Either event-based
or continuous recording with pre- and post alarm can be written to a Compact
Flash Card or an IBM Micro Drive (TM). Depending on the speed of the recording,
resolution, and the size of the storage device, many hours can be stored
without any external storage option.
Advanced video motion detection enables the storage of pre- and
post-alarm video as well as provides operator notification and/or automatic
connection to a receiver when motion is detected. Together with full-duplex
audio functionality, these options make the PelcoNet NET350 device easily one
of the most versatile products on the market.
Other features include a 10/100 base-T Ethernet port with auto
selection of network speeds, which provides maximum compatibility with both of
the common network speeds available today. Users also have the ability for both
remote software upgrades, including codex, via the Ethernet network interface
using a web browser. In addition, PelcoNet systems are NTSC/PAL selectable for
domestic and international power use.
Respected as a major product innovator, Pelco is a world leader
in the design, development, and manufacture of high-quality video security
equipment ideal for multiple applications. For more information on this and any
