For Immediate Release
Exceptional Image Quality and Remote Operation with Pelco DX3100 Series DVRs
Clovis, CA (August 14, 2002) - The new Pelco DX3100 Series DVR
offers a very flexible solution for your digital video recording needs -
providing maximum performance with many powerful features usually found only in
more expensive digital video recorders. The highest level of video security
reliability is achieved through the DX3100 embedded operating system and
extremely high image quality - with a recording resolution of up to 640x240.
Amazing image compression allows extremely efficient hard disk
drive management and optimal use of storage space. For up to 60 days of
continuous recording of 16 cameras, choose high-capacity hard drives for
extended recording capabilities from a 60GB to 240GB HDD. For even more
recording time - up to several months - maximize your hard disk space by
strategically using the system's daily record schedule and built-in video
motion detection.
The DX3100 Series DVR is positioned to replace traditional
analog multiplexer/VCR combinations in both price and performance with its
built-in multiplexer and P/T/Z functions and maximum recording speed of up to
30 images per second. Intuitive control of the DX3100 - including complete
P/T/Z control of positioning systems such as Spectra III or Esprit - is
achieved with a convenient front panel design and pushbutton control.
An operator can easily select a single, quad, 3X3, or 4X4
display during live viewing. The complete set of front-panel controls of this
full duplex DVR complements the equally functional remote software - the most
powerful remote software in the industry - which allows full access to the
operation of up to 16 DX3100s simultaneously around the world via a network.
An easy-to-use, intuitive Playback Mode prompts the operator to
input a date/time desired for review, and then the system immediately goes to
that date and time. Additional features make finding any video a snap.
For even greater flexibility, use the system's IR-Controller.
Virtually every function accessible from the front panel of the DX3100 is also
operational from its remote control. Also available is an optional remote
IR-Receiver that can be connected to the back of the unit, which allows the DVR
to be mounted in another room up to 50 feet away. For multiple DX3100s mounted
in close proximity, an individual ID per recorder and ID quick-change feature
on the remote allows control of multiple DX3100 DVRs via the handheld IR
Remote.
Respected as a major product innovator, Pelco is a world leader
