Pelco Now Offers Spectra III Series Discreet Video Security Dome Systems
Clovis, CA (March 5, 2002) – Pelco is proud to offer the Spectra III Series
Discreet Video Security Positioning System, the premier integrated dome/camera
system for the video security industry. Spectra III SE offers many innovative
features and technologies that greatly expand the benefits of using integrated
dome systems. New memory storage and data transfer technologies,
window-blanking features, and breadth of this line make Spectra III a perfect
fit for a wide range of applications.
Pelco’s new Spectra III and Spectra III SE ensure that virtually every
installation challenge can be met. From harsh environments to upscale office
buildings, there is a Spectra III system that perfectly meets your video
security needs. The series boasts the widest range of installation and dome
drive options in the industry, making a dome enclosure for virtually every
known, high-speed camera dome application.
The full compatibility throughout the family makes Spectra III unique, providing
solutions never before available. The Spectra III family includes four
different dome drives with a wide variety of feature sets and camera packages
to provide the optimum solution at the right price. All of these dome
enclosures are fast and easy to install.
The four different optics packages each have auto focus, high-resolution cameras
with LowLightTM Technology (DSS). One of these cameras also has 23x optical
zoom, color by day/black and white by night, 80x wide dynamic range, and motion
detection.
The introduction of the data port makes upgrades and installation faster and
easier than ever before. Now with the use of a PDA (i.e., a Palm V) the dome
installation can be tested before the control system is installed and
programmed, preventing additional trips to the dome installation.
Traditionally, memory for site-specific operating parameters such as presets,
alarm functions, and camera settings resided in the dome drive -- the removable
part of the system. With Spectra III SE, all location specific settings are
stored in the dome enclosure's non-volatile memory. Therefore, whether a dome
is moved from a different location, or is a replacement upgrade, all of the
site-specific settings are automatically programmed into the new dome drive.
As one customer expressed it, the Spectra III family "...truly is the next
generation dome."
