Pelco Now Offers Heavy Duty Spectra Dome Enclosures
Clovis, CA (April 10, 2001) - Pelco's Spectra® series Integrated Positioning
Systems, the industry's leading high-speed dome system now features Heavy-Duty
enclosures. With reinforced construction, locks, and an optional cage, the
Heavy-Duty Spectra Series is ideal for installations where structural integrity
and resistance to vandalism are a priority.
Heavy-Duty Spectra Series offer 3 back box models; in-ceiling, pendant, and
environmental pendant. The in-ceiling model has a reinforced mounting system
for added security. The pendant models are strengthened by a thick shroud and
dual wall construction, without adding unnecessary weight, and can be mounted
to a pole or wall using the IWM Spectra wall mount. In addition, the
environmental model includes a heater and fan. All models include thick,
durable domes that combine the optimum in optical clarity and strength.
The lower dome of the Heavy-Duty Spectra Series features a thick acrylic bubble,
.177-inch, and a trim ring with all aluminum construction. For installations
that face the highest threat of vandalism, models are available with a cage.
The cage is designed to increase the protection of the unit's bubble with
minimal obstruction of the viewed scene. For cleaning purposes, the cage is
removable.
Compatible with all Spectra dome drives, the newly added features of the
Heavy-Duty back box and lower dome, the Spectra Systems continues to get
