Pelco Debuts Powerful Video Matrix At ISC Las Vegas
Clovis, CA (March 12, 2001) - Headlining in April at the ISC West Show in Las
Vegas are two new Pelco video matrix switches, the CM6800 32x6 and the CM6800
48x8. The CM6800 Series switcher/controllers are designed to be economical,
feature-rich and technologically advanced.
The CM6800 Matrix is a very affordable single box solution for medium-sized
matrix switch applications. This fully integrated package is a highly
versatile, cross-point matrix switcher. As the numbers imply, the 32x6 is a 32
input by 6 output switch and the 48x8 is a 48 input by 8 output switch.
Pelco's CM6800 Series Matrix Switchers feature programming menus in 6 different
languages, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. The
product also offers open connectivity, which permits true networking for video
security devices. An advanced feature is the logical camera numbering, allows
camera numbers to be assigned independently of the physical input number.
In addition, the CM6800 provides the flexibility of using either hardware
connections or up the coax for control of pan/tilt or dome cameras. It supports
Coaxitron® and all other Pelco camera control protocols. With the support of up
to 10 communication ports, the CM6800 is able to interface with peripheral
components such as keyboards, personal computers, alarm interface units, relay
interface units and multiplexers.
The CM6800 Matrix can be programmed with a keyboard using the internal menus
viewed on a monitor or programming can be done off line on a PC using the
manager software. Straightforward on-screen menus make programming simple and
easy. The user enabled character display shows time and date, operation mode,
camera number, and a 20-character title for quick and easy identification of
the on-screen video. An added benefit is its password protected menu
programming. The CM6800 48x8 and the CM6800 32x6 are continuing the Pelco
tradition for high-quality and dependability.
