Pelco Releases DX1000 Series Digital Video Recorder
Clovis, CA (Jan. 30, 2001) - The moment you've all been waiting for -
introducing the Pelco DX1000 Series Digital Video Recorder (DVR). The DX1000 is
an affordable and high-quality compact recorder that is setting a new price
point in the surveillance industry.
The DX1000 features four color video inputs for fixed cameras and with 30GB or
60GB hard drive, allows for continuous recording for up to two or four weeks.
The strongest advantage of a digital video recorder versus a multiplexer is in
the playback. The DX1000 offers easy playback and forward/reverse search, along
with playback by date, time, and camera. Featuring continuous recording or
scheduled recording time, each camera has its own alarm input for alarm
recording. Multiple camera display for live viewing while recording and an
on-screen menu programming adds another touch to the DX1000 Digital Video
Recorder.
The DX1000 is the first to be released of complete family of Pelco Digital Video
Recorders. With a unit weight of 8.8 lb., the DX1000 can be placed on a desktop
or shelf for easy access to the front panel controls for operation and
programming. In addition, the DVR uses proprietary compression algorithms to
